The GasGuard™ 2 Isolation System gives all the facilities of the GasGuard™ 1, with the added advantage of also controlling the water and electric services in specified areas.
The GasGuard™ 2 System is quick and easy to install and does not require Corgi Engineers for Gas commissioning.
The system consists of a wall mounted control panel with three separate keyswitches, one for each of the respective services. The panel gives full LED indication of services status along with indication for the gas proving process. As with the other Flamefast Systems a full range of gas proving actuators are available along with a comprehensive range of water solenoids. The gas actuator unit is easily fitted into the main gas supply and no additional pipework is required maintaining low installation costs.
Gas availability times can be set manually between 1 and 9 hours and with a continuous setting if timing is not required. This is particularly useful in boiler house applications
OPERATION
Starting, or re-starting after shut-down, of the unit is simple.
Turning the keyswitch will start the proving process and the automatic test. If the test proves successful the Gas "ON" light will illuminate. If a leak is detected or mains gas is not present then the system will default to Fail Safe mode giving audible and visual alarms. Once the leak had been corrected the unit can be re-started.
For switching of water or electrics turn key switches as required.
SYSTEM STANDARD FEATURES
Extraction Systems - BS6173
The system can easily be interfaced to a kitchen extraction system using a Flamefast differential pressure switch.
Remote Emergency Stop Button
Additional Emergency Stops can be fitted remotely to the control panel to isolate the gas supply immediately in the event of an emergency.
Fire Alarm
The Gasguard™ 2 system has a Fire Alarm interface fitted as standard.
BMS
The Gasguard™ 2 system has a BMS interface fitted as standard. This also allows control of other services such as electricity.
Gas Detector Interface
The GasGuard™ 2 system has a Gas Sniffer interface fitted as standard. This allows for the monitoring or unburned hydrocarbons (e.g Natural Gas) or Carbon Monoxide.Water Isolation
The system has the facility to control the water supply in a given area. Water solenoids can be connected directly into the panel.
Electric Isolation
The system offers a 240v AC supply which can be used to control a contactor in a distribution panel for electric isolation.
OPTIONS
Gas Actuator
The actuator can be supplied fully enclosed and tamper proof if required.
Gas Sensor
Separate Natural Gas Sensors are available to isolate the gas supply immediately in the event of a gas leak during operation and give an audible and visual alarm.
Extraction Pressure Switch
Separate Pressure Switches are available if extraction interfaces are required.
