The Adapto Mouth Blown Torch is a natural gas torch with a wide range of flame control which is designed specifically for the jeweller.
The Adapto Mouth Blown Torch is a natural gas torch for the jeweller, which has a wide range of flame control. To reduce physical effort with high heat or for more precise control on the finest work, two additional nozzles with changing key are provided.
A pilot burner is built in to the torch head. This is a precision instrument, manufactured from brass and nickel-plated which is also available for use with bottled gas at low pressure.
The combined gas /air port regulating valve enables separate control over two distinct types of flame - the pin-point and brush flame. For the pin-point rage of flames the valve should be opened slightly. For the brush flame range the valve should be opened further.
The valve plug may be dismantled for cleaning and maintenance.
It should be smeared sparingly with valve grease. For the LPG
model this must be of a petroleum resistant type.
The size of the pilot flame may be adjusted by turning the grub
screw in the top of the torch head. 1/8 inch bore clear PVC tubing
is suitable for natural gas connections. Only tubing manufactured
to BS 3212 part 1 should be used for the Butane or Propane supply.
This should be clipped firmly to the torch gas inlet.

THE REGULATING VALVE IS NOT AN ISOLATING TAP, THE GAS MUST BE TURNED OFF AT THE SUPPLY WHENEVER THE TORCH IS LEFT UNATTENDED.
According to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, BS 4163 and COSHH Regulations it is mandatory that all fumes must be removed at source.
